Praise is thankfulness and commendation, similar to bragging on someone (Ps. 100:4). Through our praise, we overcome our enemy, the devil (Rev. 12:11).
Worship is directly loving God; it is desire in its purest form. During a deep time of worship, nothing else can satisfy you except the presence of God. Worship is a sort of divine discontentment (Ps. 27:4; 42:1-3; 63:1, 8; 84:1-2, 10).
To illustrate the difference between praise and worship, consider a husband and wife. Praise is like the husband going to work and bragging to all of his coworkers about how great his wife is. Worship, on the other hand, is when the husband returns home and has an intimate relationship with his wife, loving her face to face.
